Well, my opinion is that it's a pretty good deal, providing everything is in good shape.
I'm not sure whether you'll want the wet-dry, but probably could convert it into a sump .... beyond that it's not to bad.
You will need a light upgrade most likely [if just normal flourescents] ... but not that bad of a deal overall, with tank/stand, decent skimmer. Those are the two things that in my mind are nicest about it.

I'd say it's a good deal.
Is the tank reef-ready or no?

Welcome to TRT!!
sounds like a good deal to me also. good skimmer, lights are OK. and the wet/dry could be converted to a sump. as long as everything looks in good shape.

Welcom to TRT
"17 pieces of coral" Can you pick these up anytime? Just making sure you weren't planning to fill the tank up and put 17 corals in it.
Sounds like a good deal, it would be a great deal if the tank is predrilled for overflows.
Good luck,
AEB

17 pieces of coral..... i immediately assumed "skeletons"
and upon seeing the pics, i was right
sounds like a good deal to me.
the wet dry alone is 150 new. i had the same one. very good as far as wet drys are concerned.
i now have it installed on my fw tank
that and the tank alone are worth well over 300 new. so factor in the stand and lights and pumps, etc... i'd say its defintely a good deal. as long as everything is in good shape upon close inspection.

What are your plans for the tank? Dead corals and a wed dry are fine for a fish only tank but not needed for a reef. Also, you will need to upgrade the lighting for a reef. I'd hate to see you spend money on something and then find out that a lot of the equipment won't be used. Foe a fish only tank, it looks like a good deal IMO. BTW, Welcome!!

From the pix I think the wet/dry is a hang-on... like an Emperor.

Good deal IMO.

Yes you can mix live rock with the dead corals. If you don't opt to bleach the dead corals periodically, they will become "live rock" in time too, as they populate with microorganisms and algaes.
Please keep in mind that the Imperator Angel gets to a length of about 15"... your tank is much too small. A juvenile might be OK for a while, be sure to get one that is healthy and eating - these are a major cyanide target - make sure you know where it comes from and how it was caught.

Oh and one other thing - Imperator Angels are not reef-safe - if you plan to keep live corals, the angel will nibble on them.
