Is this a first for a clown fish?

Ok this may seem weird......When i was getting my eel out of my tank i had to remove my rock. It stired up some of my green hair algae, it kinda started to grow some and in some places its growing kinda long. I am getting it under control again.
Ok here is the question....I have a Tomato Clown in my tank for a few weeks now. I think he fell in love and picked a place to host at. My hair algae!! I need to start keeping my camera by my tank for things like this i kinda got a pic of it. The first one is him hosting in some other stuff but the second pic is what he was hosting in before. He would dive into it and move it all around as if it were an anemone!

Has anyone ever seen something like this?

Cool, its so funny to watch! I was thinking about getting an anemone but i am worried that my two clown might start fighting. I have a tomato and a maroon clown. Maybe i will just leave him a small amount of hair algae.

That is funny, but don't let the hair take over the tank, Once it take hold it will get harder to remove.

I've got two clowns hosting in the pumping zenia.
Be careful the clowns get really mad when you mess with their host. THe little buggers hurt when they bite.

I wish I had some hair algea now. How often does that get said?

I have a clown that I posted about the other day... he just goes and lays in the bottom of the tank in one corner... but when the food hits the water, he comes swimmin hard and fast. Sometimes he just lays there, sometimes he's up swimming all around. We thought we were gonna lose him at first, now we think he's just going to his happy place.

Today, he was up swimming around looking great after laying in the bottom oft he tank most all day yesterday. however, I've noticed him spending more time now at the bottom of the tank this evening. He keeps trying to nuzzle up against and empty snail shell. I think the poor little guy is just trying to host with anything he can.

As long as he doesn't get stressed out by not being able to do it, and he doesn't try to host with my green brittle star, I guess he's gonna be alright... if not just a little frsutrated I'm sure.

Not to hijack the thread with my own question, but I'm sure it might help with your situation also... But my tank is still too new for me to start putting corals in and certainly I'm not ready to try an anemone. I know this may sound a little goofy, but if it makes my clown happy, I'm willing to try it. Has anyone ever put one of those fake rubber anemones in their tank to make a little guys life happier? If he'll try to host with an empty snail shell, I gotta think he'd take to a fake anemone. It may look a little goofy in there for a while, but I can take it out when I get some better stuff in there for him to host with... or would that just make him wig out too if I take his rubber anemone? I know I'd be mad if someone took my inflatable do... err nevermind.

My clown hosted in my clam, almost cost him his head. After the first serious damage (2 months after the hosting began), I had to remove the clam.

Not only that but they will grab the hairs on your arm and rip them out one by one.
