Is this a dangerous pest?

I just pulled this out of a new patch of zoas I got.. it looked like he was munching on them. local fish shop owner told me to get it out but was too busy to explain why.

it was super flat, has gray and white stripes.. kind of looks like a piece of carpet.

it's like 2.5" long while crawling.. friend said it was harmful so he's in a puddle on my cooler until i figure out what he is

well flat worn are not usually that big.

Flatworms come in many shapes and sizes. I found one that was at least 3in long and almost 2in wide. I was glad that I was dipping the coral at the time that it popped out of the tiny piece of attached rock. It died quickly in the Revive dip.
