Is there a trick for suction cups

To make them stick better, mine keep popping off.

I put them in boiling water to soften them up.

I've never been able to make them work for any real period of time. I glued my powerheads to mag floats in my last tank,.. that worked great!

Cross your fingers, and pray

prayer seems to work alright, but in case the suction cup god is a dark god i usually sacrifice a chicken.

I was just like you too about the stupid suction cups. I bought this http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewIt...product=AF1513 for all my powerheads and couldn't be happier. They are a bit pricey but was worth it since the cups don't last long and is a hassel.

u can try to get more life out of the suction cups by putting them in water and sticking them in the microwave for a bit. Itll soften them up some but even after a while u wont be able to do much else but replace them

i cant get brand new suction cups to work, i never have. i just figure out ways around it. i glued a bunch of different brackets together for one powerhead to get it to hang the way i want instead of using the cups.

I've used the mag floats before too, just glued the pump to the mag float. Some folks make a magnet designed specifically for various pumps. I have a sure grip brand for my tunze, but they make them for most powerheads.
