Increasing flow ? PIC

So, I need more flow in my tank. I am tired of the power heads. I don't want to go thru the trouble of drilling more holes for a closed loop. I saw the diagrams of the diy closed loop that goes over the back. This seems easier to me . I can fit the whole thing behind the rocks and just have to run the cord out and over the back. Let me know if you think this is a decent alternative to unsightly power heads.

wow, that was a big picture...

the plan should work fine. If you have sand, you may want to use some threaded fittings so you can adjust your foow up or down in locations along the pipes.

Eric P...nice name and last initial i'm an Eric P too (Peterson) what is your last name??

personally i would skip the SCWD...they just aren't that great. i would get a www.oceansmotions.com 4way unit. they are bigger and more expensive BUT they are worth it. the SCWD's limit you flow a TON and they stop a LOT.

later

How much flow does the SCWD really restrict?

I am running a Blueline 40HD (Pressure pump rated at 790 GPH).

Do the Oceanmotions leak?
