Thumbs up

Im glad I found this place!

Hey everybody,
I'm just found this place and let me say this, this forum is by far, better then any other on the net. Ive been using aol's for sometime now and wow is this place better! If you really want to know about my 45 gal and the horrible, horrible death of my fire shrimp, I have already posted in the Tank Specs section. I have been keeping fish for about 6 years, but have had SW for under 6 months. If you are ever in the Milwaukee area, check out Aquatics Unlimited. They are pricey but have great quality fish and inverts, and very good people working there. BTW, besides the 45 gal, I also have a 20gal long which will be getting two A. Percula clownfish tomarrow. This hobby, wait, this obsession has taken control of every aspect of my life. Its two in the moring and while most people are in bed, im in the fish room looking into my tank with a flashlight. Am I the only one?!!?! Well anyway, this must be getting really boring for you now so I'd better stop typing. I really look forward to talking with all of you in the near-future.

Drew

Hi Drew, Welcome to the reef tank Thanks for the compliments on our humble little assemblage of errant reefers. We are a small board but have a dedicated staff and core group who love this hobby and are willing to help new comers avoid a lot of the pitfalls when starting out. I know at least one Milwaukee member off the top of my head, Keep an eye out for Philstone, he is near you.
We have a scheduled chat sunday eves 6 pmis Pacific Time on IRC in #thereeftank. If you aren't setup for IRC do a search and it has the site to download it. THere are several other rooms relating to SW particularly reefs on xnet server there, but we'd love to have you stop in and chat with us

Cool

Welcome Drew! Glad to have you here. I was on the AOL board back before they switched the organization that was running it over to the Veterinary Information Network; neither the VIN boaord or the AOL board have ever been the same since. That's a shame.

Hit us up with questions when you need to, chime in with help when you can. That's what it's all about here, we enjoy helping each other in a friendly environment.

BTW; you're not the only one up late at night with a flashlight and we don't think you're crazy for paying $6 a pound for *rocks*

welcome to the board! Funny, it seems that we are getting more and more of the old AOL folk over here, I guess we'll have to send Kitty and Donna an invitation, maybe Kevin will show up as well, I know Rod Beuhler lurks here on occasion... Heh, maybe even Eric will grace us with his presence...

Hi Drew, welcome to The Reef Tank.

So it looks like we are neighbors. Other area members are Niven and Shred5, also a lady (name escapes me) from Waukesha.

We may just have to hook up sometime and compare notes (or tanks.)

I'll be watching out for your postings. Feel free to drop me an E-mail sometime.

BTW I go by phillstone on the other boards - this board crashed identity a while ago.

See Ya around, Phill
