Yeah I'm with you on that.

I have 3 fish now in a 35. I'm still considering one more but after this kinda worried about aggression.
I still want a royal gramma or maybe a purple firefish.
now that the pseudo is gone the gramma could be possible.
or will him and the wrasse have a similar relationship that the pseudo and the wrasse did?

Who knows, Cosine. I had both a royal gramma and purple firefish, only to have lost them to whoknowswhat. Nothing wrong with having only 3 fish in your tank. What fish do you have already?

They are an ocellaris clown, a scooter dragonette and a 4 line wrasse.

The wrasse is new but is a great addition. He is always swimming in and out of the rockwork.
I always liked 6 line wrasses but didn't want to get one because I was afraid he's out compete the scooter for food. But since my tank still has pods I think that the scooter only eats (well for the most part) frozen food. So when the LFS had this wrasse I decided to give him a try since he eats prepared food too.
So I'm not worried about either of them running out of food.

The three fish get along really well now that the pseudochromis is gone. They are tough too I mean yesterday I had all the rock out of the tank and dirt going everywhere. Today it is cleared up and they look good!
All the corals look good except the toadstool but since the lights have only been on for a short time he's probably still "sleeping" plus he always gets mad for a few days when I move him.

id say a gramma or a firefish would either one be a good addition. i would consider stopping there though. Of course, that statement makes me a hypocrite, with seven (albeit small) fish in a 42 gallon. just make sure their adult size and 'tudes are accounted for

Yeah my plan all along was 4 fish
(well 5 with my clown goby but poor little guy had some troubles)
I just haven't found the right 4. A gramma has always been on my fish wish list but they are rare around here.
I think the types of fish that come in are seasonal.
I remember grammas being there (at the LFS) when I was cycling or just before I got my tank. Maybe as winter approaches they'll start to come in again?!

I'm kinda reluctant on firefish since they are skittish I had a yellow watchman that injured himself I think on a rock by darting. I had him for awhile and he was eating fine then it seemed like a gill wasn't working correctly.
I like the idea of a RG since I read that they don't pick fights but will not back down.

hmmm this is quite the ramble so I'll trail off now.
Thanks for the advice!
