idea for my siphon~overflow

hey all take a look at the atatched pdf and give me your thoughts pls, my thought is to run a 2" deep trough accros the back of the tank then deeper at the "u" tubes and syphon into a smaller in length box at the rear. do i understand things correct and will this work or did i just lose about 15 minutes of my time creating this crude sketch

an over the back coast to coast overflow. it should work fine. i have an internal coast to coast on my tank, and i believe Fly has the better off the back coast to coast on his system. i think coast to coast overflows are the way to go. i will never do another reef tank without one.

That actually looks pretty good. I like the fact that there are 2 u tubes. It will give it some redundency if one of them loses syphon.
