ID this Montipora? I think?
I got this frag for my tank today. Wanted to try an SPS under my T5s, so went with a variety of montipora - looks like a digitata maybe? Anyway here it is...
It's up very close to the lights, about 8" from the bulbs, 2" from the surface... getting great high-volume diffused flow, alternating currents.
1st off, what is it? 2nd, Is it too high up or close to the bulbs?
The pic illustrates it's postition. Pic is slightly bright. My tank specs are on the blue link in my sig.

Looks more like pocillapora. As far as placment, you'll have to wait for someone with T5s to pipe in. If it were MH, I would move it down a bit.

Yeah, definitely doesnt need the light of many stonies, but it will acclimate to being high in the tank if that's where you like it. If it's at all like those that I have in my tank, you're going to find poccilipora sprouting up all throughout the tank, it's kind of neat (and being slow growing/not very invasive, it's not a pest like some other things).

Cool guys thanks for the help. This morning this a little furball lol... looks very happy. If it doesnt need all the light I may move it into less prime SPS real-estate. My Fiji is still struggling tho

Are pocillapora and damicornis the same? It looks like my green damicornis is why I'm asking.

Yes, Damicornis is a species of Pocillapora, as in Pocillapora damicornis

So, how does the Poci rate on the care scale? If I'm having good results with this SPS, are there any others that might be comparable in needs etc.? Is it a hardier SPS?

It's an easy SPS I think, but It doesn't like changes. If you move it it may not fluffy out for a week, if you change the flow it may not come out for a week... see a trend here

It is a hardier species, like Tony says. You could also try birdsnest (seriatopora) or montiporas, which are also pretty robust.
