Question

ID Please... Photo attached

We just moved into a new home and we moved our 80 gallon tank yesterday. This was found under one of the rocks that we couldn't see prior. We have not purchased or added any new stock to this tank for some time now (at least 8-12 months) which was about 5 fish only. It doesn't seem to move, or at least not move fast!!!! It is hard like a snail shell, but I don't beleive it is a snail. Urchin?? Any infomation you might have about what this is please let me know.

DITTO What Scruffy Said...and believe us both, do not pop it. Try to remove is using a knife blade. Kinda gently scrape it off and get it out.

If you are able to, I would remove the rock when you go to gently remove it. This will help ensure that if it accidently does pop, it doesn't pop in the tank.

If it pops in the tank, it basically releases all the components needed to make tons of them all over. :-) Not a pretty sight. heh heh

I agree Bubble algae!

I've only had the small stuff myself, but I've seen the larger stuff in other people's tanks.

Where did you move to Two tanks?

Hi Whiskey, we just relocated 9 miles out of Yuma "The Foothills". Closer out Luey's way. We are waiting for a cool down to maybe take the quads out and pitch a tent out in the desert. I will give you a heads up when plans start to be made ok!
