ID please confirm, sorry no pic

I just noticed these white worm looking things on my rocks, but I didn;t see any moving and then I saw what I thought was a Aiptasia, and then I saw another on another rock, but it looked like it was coming out of one of the worms.

Grabbed one of the top rocks and pulled it out of the tank, the 'anemone' was gone and just an empty tube, not a 'soft worm', the tube was hard and I picked the one off brittle, it broke and was stuck on. Noticed an few more and confirmed they were all hard, nothing squishing about them.

So I am guessing they are hitchhiker feather dusters? They do look like this link below. Not like the aiptasia link I included. No true 'tenticles'

The thing is there are at least 10-15 that I can see in the front of the tank, why did it take them so long to appear? I am guessing as feather dusters they are harmless.

yep little feather dusters. I have quite a few of them. You should see more and more pop up over time.
