ID Needed please........

Ok someone posted yesterday with a thread called 2 questions. They needed an ID on something in their tank. It got me thinking and i also have them in my tank too. I posted a pic with what they are. Some are orange some are red. They move but you never see them move. I know they move just because they are never in the same spot. I think the move at night only. Any help would be great!!

If those are what I am thinking they are.. they are not hydroids. Most people have variations of those things growing on their rocks. I do not know the name of it or anything, but I have seen them in Borneman's book. (maybe I should start to keep that book here at work with me). You can scrape it off if it concerns you, but almost every well established reef tank I have seen has those growing somewhere.
