ID needed - Algae

Hi,

Does anybody know what this is. Looks like some type of algae... slow growing, but growing in various places. The one pictured is about 3/4" long.

Good? bad? funny?

They are harmless. They do use up calcium though. Don't know the name. I had a small outbreak of them but they dwindeled down to none in about a month. You can cut them off if you want.

Spindleweed-Neomeris spp.

i am having a minor outbreak right now of them. they do show that you have a good amount of Ca in the tank.
