ID needed


Hey all, I have noticed this growing on one of my rocks. any idea what it is.

Sorry to complain about the quality of the picture, I'm often not any better, but it is hard to tell. I'll venture a sponge of some sort.

I think it's the white anemone-esque thing on the rock. Might be a sponge, but it looks like that area is exposed to a bit of light, so maybe not.

It doesn't look like any spong I have ever seen. those are the best pictures I can get, and yes I need to Id the white thing. it has a lot of little white tentacles like a anemone, and in the 3 different spots, there are small whitish translunet tubes. they are really small, and I just noticed them today. I really can't get a better pic, that is exactly what it looks like.

Here's why I think it's a sponge. My pic is marginally better, and I'm sure that it's a sponge in my tank.

That looks nothing like what is in my tank. Your is a thick base with a few hair-like points coming off of it. Mine just looks like a bunch of white grass.
