ID help.....


I was at my LFS friday and she got a shipment of corals in, she gave me a chunk of this guy in the pic, it looks like a carnation to me but im not shure, its not a hard coral.

looks like a carnation, but its is probably non photosynthetic

agreed. looks like a carnation.

Darned near impossible to keep. need LOTS of plankton. And to feed them that will more than likely polute the crap out of your tank.

Most are non-photosynthetic...so put him in the shade somewhere. They don't like light.

In the wild, they usually hang upside down under rocks.

Let us know how it works out.
