ID (fuzzy pic)


Any ideas on what this little polyp is?

Looks like a zoanthid polyp to me. Looks like you got a cool color too!! Is that some new rock? Very cool man!

Dave,

No, this rock isn't new, it's been in the tank for about 6 months. I've suspected a zooanthid for awhile, but it's only the single polyp and it's been there for about 4 months and not split. It's a little larger than a pencil eraser now (so I could finally get a semi clear pic).

Hopefully it starts to split and take over, I am enamored with the color myself.

btw, I was worried I would be told it was manjano anemone, even though it doesn't look like pics I've seen.

I vote zoo but without a clearer pic of the actual polyp its hard to say. if it is zoos i bought a rock with one polyps on it it took a few months before they took off about 3 months after they started mutiplying the rock is covered with them.
