I see posts about ich. And I know puffers and yellow
tangs are prone to it.
So in case one of my fish are unfortunate enough to get it,
how do I treat it? And also, how to prevent it?

hi there!
If you use the search function above, you will find lots of threads on ich. Also, look back a few day and you will see a great thread on garlic treatment of ich.

The pathogen responsible for ich is always present in a marine tank environment
The main problems I see in captive environments are nutritional and stress.
Finding the proper food and supplementing with Selcon to add missing HUFA plus reducing envoronmental stress whether its space, habitat, lighting or whatever are the most critical elements. Most fish and other organisms if kept healthy, well fed, and somewhat comfy, can fight off most of the afflictions that plague the hobby
