i think that my frogspawn just... spawned :)

i noticed something near the egde of the tank that looked a bit well... weird.
on closer inspection, it looks like a micro frogspawn.

i cut the top off a small coke bottle and put it over it so it won't drift away.

what is the possibility of this tiny guy growing up ? do i need to do anything special to keep it alive ?

ive had many drop babies like that, only once did one baby find a good spot and actually start growing at the base of its parent. as far as "making" it grow, im unsure how to, but i would suggest finding a nice piece of realstate for it to bond too, and then giving it the best care you can from there out.

When mine does that I try to suck them out, the small ones are just as aggressive as the large and will sting you other corals. If it drops another the current could take it into one of your more valuable corals and sting it. What probably happened is something bothered your frogspawn and it dropped a tentacle, I would check out the main colony and see if anything is bothering it.

i doubt that it's a tentacle, it's barely bigger than a grain of sand.

there are two clowns who've got the frogspawn confused with an anemone though

They may have bitten it off. I've cut off polyps on my frogspawn with the siphon

Mine does that often, I see them, then I never see them again.
