i spent a lot of money and here's what i got

this week has been a pocket hurter... but a fun one. i got a new lighting system on monday and to celebrate i ordered a few very pricey frags from atlantis aquarium their service was good and i got what i expected (the invoice for two frags was $231 after shipping i am crazy i know)

i have wanted the bonsai forever and the eric's fragfarmer red stag was to try out the ati procolor bulb (its red) the one ugly caroliniana was "free" lol. the lighting is 6x54 w ati powermodule bulb combo: uvl super actinic, (2) giesmann actinic +, (2) ati aquablu spezial, and an ati procolor. Cheers,

You need to start shopping on RC. It will be easier on the pocketbook.

SWEET frags though.

Ive purchased from atlantis a couple times and been pleased as well.

Tony that is Garf Bonsai it has been one i have coveted many times and will probably try to grow it as long as possible without fragging. The cheapest i have seen it has been around $60, but i wanted to spend the extra 30 to avoid getting some of the imposters floating around out there. atlantis actually has two he says are just like it... but they aren't "it". ON another note i actually called leroy from garf about this one a few months back and it was a sore spot... one of his ex employee's (for obvious reasons) fragged their whole mother colony off and sold it for great personal profits.. so now garf no long has a garf bonsai (they used to sell it for $25)!!! I love the story behind it and the coral itself lived up to the legend that had grown in my mind.

I think the ORA tort is a keeper too. Its a totally different blue and grows twice as fast........

Ive seen some people able to keep the ORA tort dark...nothing like the oregon and a different blue......but dark just the same. I cant do it for some reason but I love the bright blue I do get out of it...
