I never put any pipe cleaners in there!

Another one of those, Who dunit, What is it, AND, is it good or bad question?

Yesterday I noticed 6-8 things in my sandbed and in the LR. They appear to be some type of worm. Okay, visualize here

They look like (and size of) a pipe cleaner, a little off white, without any frillsaround the last 1/8". They appear to extend about 1 1/4" out of the sand. I just looked in there with a flashlight after 2 hours of dark. YUK! It looks like a swarm of gnats at a summer picnic in there. Along with a bizillion pods and baby shrimp.

Oh, these new guys are not near anything new I got at the meeting/trade. Maybe that makes no difference?

Anyway, thanks!

Chris and Pam

Hi O-G

My guess is bristle worms by your discription. I am sure others will comment. They are not harmful.

Okay, but they are not like the others. My collection are usually pink, sometimes more towards red with purple ends. They crawl all over the tank. These seem to just wave in the current like a filter feeder. They dont seem to have mobility

Maybe just another type of BW???????

Thanks!

I have white ones, at night they can extend far and capture food, they are multipling, you may have gotten them from me. Don't seem to harm anything and are filter feeders. Here's a stupid drawing LOL They can extend and retract
