Have you had any success of buying: corals, sponges, fish, and anenomes online? If so what company did you use, and futhermore do you recommend buying online or is it best to go to the store.

Thanks

Hi Schulz!

And a formal welcome to TRT!

I really like to see my livestock before I purchase; besides, going to the store is fun Some people however, do not have that option whether they are just to far away from a LFS (Local Fish Store) or there are no good ones in their area. We have members of a Wisconsin reef club that post here, Wrasse Man and Drewman spring to mind, hopefully they can chime in with some good local options for you.

Some of our sponsors ship livestock and they have excellent reputations. Most people have had satisfying experiences with Flying Fish Express as well.

I've never done it personally, but I've heard that you can get some really good stuff from online ordering. Personally I like to pick and choose at my local store, so I don't mind paying a little extra. The good thing I can see out of ordering online is that you may be able to order things that aren't available locally.

Shulz, well I myself have had it with my local fish stores as far as quality, quantity and price of livestock. I have used many different online stores my favorites are:

www.ipsf.com for sand bed critters and snails

www.ffexpress.com for fish and inverts

www.liveaquaria.com for fish and corals, used to be Pet Warehouse but theyhave just been bought out by Foster & Smith so use with caution.

www.tropicorium.com for corals and clams

http://premiumaquatics.com for dry goods, pumps etc.

www.hellolights.com for lighting needs

I have had very good luck with the companies listed above and would recommend them all. I hope this helps!!
