Yes, we just recently lifted all our LR in the 135-gallon on PVC pipe, works great and increased the flow in my tank a lot because the LR is up instead of sitting directly in the sand bed.
We used 4" pvc pipe and had to cut it with a hacksaw. Was a long lengthy process but for the 135-gallon, we used a six-foot long piece of PVC pipe. We got a keyhole drill bit (2" diameter) and cut holes all over the PVC pipe, then cut it in "rings" that had holes in them for the water flow. It was a big job to lift up all the rock and put the rings underneath, but I've seen a vast improvement in the flow and detritus of the tank.
You might search the forums for information on pvc pipe. I found all I needed here on TRT.
Good luck!
HHC

I still have about 15 to 20 of the ones we made just laying around here. I thought I would need more than I did.

when I made mine, I just cut them to length and then drilled the holes. I made as many holes as I could with keeping enough space in between the holes so itll still have strength to support the weight

I would recommend you get another container and take some of the water from your tank and put the rock in it. If anything stack the rock on one corner of the tank while u work on the other side

If its JUST rock it will be fine with new saltwater in the buckets. Use tank water for any corals that you have in another container with a powerhead with a venturi for flow so they dont lose oxygen. If you are going to go with pvc, just buy schedule 40 gauge and then you can use purple primer to color it up.

the primer is o.k. to put in the tank? How long should you let it set up? I've worked with that stuff, it smells pretty potent.
