well you have to wait a whileafter you primer it to put it in your tank. I usually let anything I primer/glue sit for 24 hrs just to be on the safe side.

your totally fine in an hour if its just for coloring purposes.......as far as glue and primer inside pipes you should wait a couple hours and even though not necessary....its always a good idea to rinse your plumbing if possible before putting it in the tank.

Thats the same thing i do but reverse...i dont drill the rock...i just shapoe the end of 3/4" acryclic rods into teetha nd stack the entire reef up on them....u used to build a pvc frame that went under the sand to support them but now i either glue supports to hold the rods or build a grid out of 1" acryclic to hold the rods so it is removable................

I DO however drill some rock up higher in the reef and use 1/4" rods to make a few overhangs....................

mcmaster carr

then whether you make a grid OR glue individual supports in place.....take a 3/4" drill bit and DO NOT go all the way throuogh the 1" with it. that way the rods are not resting directly on the floor of the tank. I have sold some of these to people and helped some people make them........i guarantee once you buy the materials and see how long they take to make what im asking is not at all unreasonable as well as just is a better way to lift your rock than pvc in both form and function. There is very minimal flow restrictioin under these lifts UNLIKE pvc and you can barely see them

i thnk tomorrow i am also thinking of buying maybe getting another 50 pounds of fiji rock that already cured so i can just drop it in my tank. I really trust this LFS i go atleast 2 a week to see the livestock there and because they have a really nice 6000 gallons tank and i love to see the sharks and big blue tang dog face puffer. there rock is clean and sits in the vats with skimmers all day and i know its clean
