I need more Pods

Before my rock cooking episode and tank rebuild I had millions of pods in my tank when I peeked in there late at nite. After all the rebuild I've yet to really see any at all. What's a good way to build back up your pod population?

well, IME givign them a safe place to grow and dosing phyto does increase numbers, but i think some people don't belive they're related. also i have a seperate tank where i just grow algea (for my clown tang) and pods (for my mandarin) and the water in there is pretty dirty, i didnt notice 3 dead clams in a 20gallon with no skimmer, so im sure its pretty gross. but the walls are full of them, so its worked so far

Take some netting and create a small pile of pieces of LR. then bind it together with the netting and give it to me. I will put it in my nano tank for a week and then give it back and you will have tons of pods.

Skim less, reaquascape and stack your rock REALLY tightly together so you cant get good flow through it, and no more water changes.

overfeed the tank. pod populations and phosphate levels tend to go hand in hand. if you want more pods than setup a 10g tank with a HOB filter and feed it with phyto. you will all kinds of pods for about 3-6 months before the tank crashes. clean it up then start over, or have 2 going at different cycles.

Haha, OK, nevermind. I don't need pods at the price of having a filthy tank. I guess that's why I had a lot before and none now.
