I need help with Formula Two ...

This stuff is suppose to be great ... But not so great for the owner who is trying to feed the poor live stock. Does this stuff ever melt?

I searched the archives but I wasn't able to find any solid answers as to what to do with this stuff. What is the proper way of using the Formula Two? Anybody?

Thanks in advance,

Arbi

What do you mean by "melt"?
If you want it to sink, put in a little container and add some water from the tank, I soak mine this way with my garlic drops and vitamins. Then pour it into the tank. Much easier for the fish to eat it AND it all won't go over the overflow's.

It has a gel binder in it. Use your fingers to break it up.

Ditto on Rick's post,,,,myself, i prefer the sheet style of the brand,
thaws better,,,,
i do use the cube kind for the bigger fish in my FO tank.
when you use the cubes, thaw it first , and mush it up with your fingers,,,(i use Selcon too, while it's thawing)

i think it might stick to the glass, if you keep it in cube form(thawed intact)but never used it that way much,,,

Thank you all for your suggestions ...

I will try some of your suggestions today and see how it goes. This is the first time I'm using this product. I was told that it is a great source of food for the Tangs. I did get the vitamin C stuff to soak it in before I feed the fish.

I fed them last night but the Tangs didn't touch the stuff. This might be since I introduced a few new members to my tank last night (Powder Brown and Kole yellow eye).

I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks again,

Arbi

yeah i just bought some of that stuff too and its kinda gross, like the consistency of eyeballs! you do have to smoosh it up with your fingers. my fish always take a couple feedings to 'get a clue' when I try a new food.
