I need a good magnet cleaner
Can some one recommend a good strong magnetic cleaner. The one I have wont work on the 90 I think the glass is too think. I cant reach the bollom part of the glass even if I'm standing on a stool and with out one my arm reaches only half way down the tank.

The Magnavore is a really strong magnetic cleaner. I think it would be great for glass. For acrylic it does come with special pads but I've found that even these can scratch so I use a microfiber cloth under it on the outside and an acrylic cleaning pad on the inside instead of the pads that come with it.

I use a Mag-Float. I tried a cheaper kind, but it was a waste of money. The glass of my tank was too thick for the cheaper magnet cleaner to stay stuck to. The Mag-float is great though. Just a word to the wise. Don't get your fingers between the magnet and the glass. WOW!!!It would pinch you good.

Make sure you never get any sand on the magnet either if you have acrylic. I do have one of the long scrapers as mentioned above but only need it for really hard algae.

For my 180 I use the big mag-float, it works great on 1/2 inch thick glass.

I have a long scraper but that is hard to manuver especially when you get higher up and hit the canopy! I will check the magnets out, I have heard good things about mag float. Yep the little magnet I have for the smaller tanks just wont stay connected on the bigger tank so have to go with something stronger. Yes will watch my fingers. Thanks guys.

I have a Mag Float on my 125...works great, you won't have problems with it not holding on both sides of the glass.

We have a hammerhead and LOVE it! Just be careful don't get your fingers pinched or else!

We use a large magfloat on our 125g. It works great, but not good for coralline on front glass. I still have to use a scraper for that.

I have 180 and use the medium mag float it is very strong on half inch glass..
I made the mistake of letting it snap closed on my finger (to test it out ) before i put it in the tank, and it drew blood.
lol 3 days later still have a little mark so strength should not be a problem and htey arent that expensive i paid like 15 bucks

I have a hammerhead but leave it in the box of fishing junk now. It is too hard to use on my 55 but was perfect for my 90 with thicker glass. It cost a lot but is great and you can leave on on the side full time without it looking goofy.
