I just won this on EBAY

192 watt , 36 inch power compact light fixture w/ bulbs

This is a 192 watt power compact lighting unit which runs on two 96watt power compact bulbs and has led lunar lights built in. Each of the two 96watt lights and lunar lights are independently run so you can simulate morning sunlight, full afternoon sunlight, and night moon light with one unit. The unit is cooled by a built in fan and has an internal ballast. here is no need th hang this fixture from the ceiling because mounting legs are included so it is designed to sit on top of any 36" length aquarium.

Along with the fixture I will include 3 - 96 watt Fluorescent Lamps. The lights have been used for a short period of time but still have 2-3 months of use left in them. The included lamps are as follows:

1) 96W 10,000k Daylight Bulb

2) 96W Actinic 03 Bulb

3) 96W 10,000k/Ultra-Actinic Bulb

I have that set up on my 55g. Keeping Xenia and softies and a rose BTA was easy. The fixture looks great too over my basic Wallyworld tank and dresses it up.

Restocking all that soon as this environment can sustain life outside. The UPS truck has a 250 mile daily route through the ice and snow.

I've got that same fixture also. Great light - little heat.
One thing I don't like about it is the fan noise. That fan does a great job of getting rid of the heat, but it spins 3x too fast for the demand. Also there are wires in front of it and the plastic cover on the other side is not helping with noise either..
Has anyone done any modification to quiet that sucker down? I was thinking of putting some kind of computer fan motor control on it to vari the speed. Any suggestions?
