I have the worst luck!!!!!
Yea you guessed it. I was sitting here watching TV and i heard a bunch of rattling coming from the tank. I was like what the heck is that. So i did some investigating and this is what i found.
Yep!!! a gosh darn cracked magnet on one of my new Seio 1500s.

Thats why I don't like the ebay thing, if you get it from a reputable vendor, it should be easy to deal with warrenty issues.
On the other hand, it
s a good idea to keep a spare impellor on hand for any critical pump, ie sump return or skimmer pump.
Cleaning them in vinegar once a month is a really good idea as well

My brother visited recently and commented how noisy my tank was so the following day I serviced the pumps to find this...
Noises grow so slowly that it takes someone else to notice!

All the more reason to clean and check them frequently and have a spare impellor handy if you dont have a replacement pump laying around .
Sadly I let mine go so long that the iron released into the tank had a devastating effect on my 75/55g system
Clean and Check em frequently, its cheap insurance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
