I have something that looks similar to a Vermitid snail on my snail

I saw it and poked at it with a toothbrush and it is hard and it sucked back into the tube when I did this... Is it possible that it is a vermitid snail? or am i delusional?

Sort of a pet But vermetids can be a nightmare. It's a good idea to do what you can if the tank is small enough to keep their numbers down. Mine got so bad, they started to restrict the plumbing and is in part, one of the reasons I tore my big tank down. Now, I'm able to keep their numbers down by controlling the amount of food they consume.
