+1 for the refractometer.
Does your friend with the ricordias have any other colors besides blue, green, and orange available? I still like to shop from time to time as well.

yea i cleared him out.
http://coloradocoraladdiction.com/
thats him. however he has neat stuff thats not hardy.
hes the one that taught me how to setup my tank.
and theres a rule of thumb for him, unless its hardy i wouldnt buy it from him, hes not really to nice to his live stock, as he runs his tank with out water conditioners, among other things ive got him doing (like ashing his cigarettes in the tank)

If he does things like that then how can you say the corals are not hardy?

well i wouldnt buy the acans and acros, because you may be getting them while they are stressed and dying.
the only reason i buy from him is that he has really different stuff for this area, and i dont have to pay shipping. other wise i would order from live aquaria.

I was actually thinking of getting the dead gorgonion with the rics and sponges on it as I have some multi-colored rics that could fill in the rest of that area very nicely.

I need to talk to the finance manager and then try to make it worth the $50 shipping charge. I may end up passing on this and just finding a piece of branch rock to start making my own ricordia tree with.

Does that actually work on you?
If I was to do that then the corals would end up costing close to $200 when all is said and done.
