I think reef crystals is fine, I use Red sea coral pro, but I think they are VERY similar. Whatever you get a good price on should be fine.

what about tropic marin ?
whats wrong with tropic marin?
am i the only one who uses tropic marin?
is that why my 46 bowfront blew a seal and leaked out all over my house?

Ive never used it but have only heard good things about it. I just wonder if its worth the cost difference for a softies tank?

I've used Kent Reef Salt for years and years without any issues, but I don't think there's anything wrong with RC either. If it works for you, I'd continue to use it, haven't heard of any issues with it in particular.

BUT switching salt brands doesn't seem to cause any issues either - most of them are very close in trace elements and basic makeup.

thanks HHC I will prob stick with what I have then since its working and I was wrong about folks having problems with it.
