Its all about removing the nutrients, by blasting the rock, properly designed flow, a big skimmer and good consistant husbandry!JMO.

And leave the tank alone during the early stages. You have to give the tank time to cycle and not keep disrupting the tank during the cycle. the tank in question is not very mature. alot of the algae blooms are common and have to take place during the cycle.
