I got some nice ricordia today!...so here's a plug.
Hey all,
Been seeing some pretty outrageous prices on ricordia lately. I understand that the red/pink ones are rare and may be legitimately outrageous, but the regular blue/green variety and even orange should not inherit that price hike!
Today i got what i consider a decent deal on some great ricordia. A softball sized rock, with five (count em) FIVE bright green ricordia florida, for $35. Thanks Rick! ( www.soutassaltwater.com)

Most places sell them for like $7 a polyp (for green ones) so thats a pretty normal price.

I agree with you Piero...here in Houston they go for about $30 each. Although I did get a STEAL on this beauty... $5.
Please note though....ricordia are hearty & cool looking but beware of putting them too close to other softies.....my ricordia actualy reached over and stung my open brain & he still bears the scars. He's now in his own corner where he can spread out & be happy!

I LOVE Ricordea $7-10 is about the going rate up here for the green or blue-green. I've seen the other colors go up to $40 per polyp!
Piero: the ones you bought are a very pretty green color!
Spam Princess: one other little fact about Ricordea from Florida, it cannot be harvested wild attached to wild live rock as live rock collection is not allowed, except for a chosen few who hold permits That's why you'll most often see ricordia for sale unattached to a rock.

Piero,
I just today traded in to Woody a rock that has like 4 polyps on it. It came from the EXACT same place that Frank got his. Same exact ricordia.
Where are you keeping yours in your tank Frank? They look nice. Are they in the shadows or are they getting a lot of light?
Dennis

I have a couple of those too, but not from the same source. I love the bright green oral disc. I saw your trade-in Dennis. Nice
