i found a baby clam

omg im finally looking at my neglected tank and i found a baby clam!!
its about the size of a dime, kinda looks like the kind at red lobster only smaller lol
its alive but my clown is smacking all the sand around it and flopping it around.
it must have gotten dislodged from somewhere when i did all those water changes.
so what should i do? should i rescue it from the clowns kicking? move it to the back of the tank?
does it need light?

yeah a scallop

i went back to take a pic of it and my clown wacked it under the mushroom, now it has sand in its mouth
it also has a tube worm on its shell. you can see half of it under the shroom to the right. sorry for the bad pic but i figured i better hurry while i can still see it cuz tomorrow im sure it will be gone.
its shell is clam colored, like that pale whitish/grey, the inside flesh when it opened up a tad was a pale pink

I cannot see it in the pic, but I have found many in my tanks, they were always scallops.

ahh..the pic is lousy sorry. click on the pic to make it larger then scroll down the page to show the bottom front area of the tank. its right underneath the green mushroom to the right side, half of its shell is showing

thnx on the clown, thats my baby Beemo. hes a three year old onyx ocellaris clown.
when he dies i will hold a funeral for him in my yard lol...im sooo attached to him. his orange ocellaris buddy of two years decided to carpet surf last winter, that was very upsetting, they were always side by side

Bummer about his partner - funny how attached we can become to fish and inverts isn't it. Neat find in the tank - always fun to discover new things
