Well, my zoos are fully open once again, hopefully this is a sign of things turning towards the better.

Well, I got to talk to Anthony today. He said it sounds like a lack of water changes and carbon filtration, as opposed to chemical warfare between corals, and also said there is no need to have the calcium above 400. His advice was to do a 50% water change, and the reason the zoos opened pack up was because the water started to clear up some when i added the chemi-pure and the little guys really love light.

Another bit of info for you guys that some of you may or may not be aware of.. He said when you buy bags of salt, theyre really meant to be mixed all at one time. You can get by using portions of it at a time, but the best way to do it is mix the whole bag at one time.

Good point made by Anthony (yet again) The reason for this is that some salts aren't mixed consistantly throughout the bag/bucket, for example, there can be buffer just at the top, but none at the bottom. This is a reason for some of us to switch to buying boxes of salt, where there are bags of salt within the box, so you don't have to mix a ton of salt all at once. I mix any buckets of salt in a larger bucket so that I have consistancy throughout, and then I don't absolutely have to make a gigantic amount of saltwater all at once if I don't want to.
