Question

I Dont Know If I should Or just Let It Go?

Hi Everyone!
I have a 150 with 40 gallon sump on my tank I have
1 yellow tang 4 inches
1 fairy wrasse 4 inches
1 scooter blennie 2 inches
6 chalk bass 1-2 inches each (not always nice)
1 watchman gboy 1 inch
1 bullet goby 4-5 inches
1 flame angel
mostly soft corals with a cpl of frogs spawn and torches
Last summer I bought 2 clams and they both died I couldn't figure out why all my numbers were where they should be and I have the correct lighting.
Then a cpl of months ago I noticed I had flat worms. Not allot maybe a few dozen. The flat worms seem to be dieing off on their own I only see a few in there now and they stay on a cpl of mush room. I also noticed I had a few pyramid snails(explanation for the clams) hanging on a few of my snails.
So two weeks ago I went out and bought a 6 line wrasse he only lasted a day. My chalk bass were relentlessly harassing him. So I went back to the same lfs and bought a yellow wrasse. I saw him eat at the pet shop and he also ate here in my tank but he only lasted 2 days. Ive done test on my water and nothing sticks out. The bass didn't bother the wrasse at all. The yellow tang did flash him a cpl of times but even that was just in passing.
My question is should I try another fish from a diffrent store?
What will happen if I don't? Will the pyramids kill all my snails?
Do you think it could have been something to do with the pet shop I bought them from?
This is the same pet shop that held the star fish out of the water to find out the price of it. I only went back to them because they were the only ones that had fish that would hunt the pyramids and flat worms.
A friend of mine is going fish shopping today and I'm not sure if I should give it a third try or not?
I just hate killing fish.
Thanks for any input!
Patrick

you have had trouble with you past 2 fish. I have been reading your posts.
What I would do if I were you and I really wanted a wrasse. I would go to The LFS and buy a quarqntine tank if you dont have one. Set it up. that way you will give your wrasse a fighting chance.
In this way you know if fish is sickly and can easily retrieve him if he dies.
Also I would use this time to get him use to eating the food you fed your display.
this way he doesnt have to be the new kid on the block trying to figure out what to eat. and competing with other fish.
Use the water from you display tank to fill it that way He will be perfectly comfortable with water parameters when he leaves quarintine.
I didnt quarntine nothing and everything went into my display until black ick decided to hitch a ride on my Powder blue. Now Im an advocate.
so just fatten him up in quarantine to maximize his chances of survival.
Also rearange rock work and use mirrors when introducing to throw off your chalk bass
