I could use a little advice
I am setting up a 55GL tank right now with 40BL of LS and 55BL of RL. I also have a Sea Clone 100 Protein Skimmer and a Emperor 280 BIO-Wheel Filtration System. . As for lighting I am using 3 VHO 2 white and 1 blue. The nitrogen cycle should be over with in a few days.
I want to keep at least a pair of Sea Horse, some plants, corals and a clearn up crew.
I like to know what will be able to go with the Seahorse and what extra equipment I may need to be able to keep my animals alive. Cost is a factor, but if I need something to keep the animals alive then I will have to get them. Since keeping the animals alive is the first concern.
I will have a picture up tomorrow if it let me

HI and Welcome to TRT!
first, take off the wheels you dont need them. but keep the filter on adn going. your LR will be the filter wheel for the tank. the skimmer you have is okay but not a very good one. think about up grading that one. your tank is goingot take a lot more then a few days to finish the cycling.
Seahorses are a slow " by chance" eater so anyone you put in there willl out compete them for for.
you might want to look at seahorse.org also.

You cant keep much with seahorses. Maybe some pipefish, some banggai cardinals.
They will also need some surfaces to hold on to. Something they can wrap their tails around.

Nice looking tank wolfie. Seahorses are cool but they limit you. Looks like you have the start for a great tank. The LR is your filter. Are you using RO water? Folks here are very helpful. Listen to them and go slow. Have you gotten any good book on Reef Keeping?
Good luck with your new tank and keep sending pics.

Sea horses are easy to keep in someways (little space or lighting needed) but hard to keep in others (need frequent feeding with good quality, usually live food). Where most people go wrong is trying to keep a reef with sea horses, if you want to do it as a species tank its should work well as long as you can commit to the feeding schedule. Maybe some macro algae would encourage infauna and give the litlle fellows something to hang on to.

his is how it look with the top close and the light on.
I am thinking of putting a pair of clown fish first then some plant before I add in the clearn up crew and Sea Horses latter if I can keep those clown fish alive for over 2 month.
Any advice on what plan to put in and where I can get them? As for the clearn up crew. Should I hand pick or not?

I wouldn't keep much more than seahorses and pipefish in the tank for livestock. You will need some good bunches of seaweed to make them feel at home. I also recommend (from personal experience) that you have the fish store feed them before you buy and make sure you can afford the food they are used to. Live brine is a pain but i have found they move on to frozen mysis the easiest.

I think it is.
Mo3 test show to be something like 50
pH at 8.2
Alk normal
Ca should be around 450.
Those are the test I have make. Again I am new to this so my test could be a little off
