I can't get my glass clean...

On the back of my tank, there is a residue on the glass which seems like dried saltwater, but I cant seem to get it off. I have tried the stuff that is safe for fishtanks but that does nothing. I never really noticed it with the blue background, but I switched to a black background and it shows horribly. I can even seem to get it with a razor blade, I think I need some sort of solvent but I am afraid to use anything around the tank.

Have you tried a little vinegar on a paper towel?

I don't think solvent is a good idea. It is hard to clean if it has been stained for a long time. Maybe someone know how to get it

Just hope for the best the you get some great coralline growth on the back and it over-grows the salt residue.
