That's 4 fish in a 20g, it may be tight. What kind of filtration do you have?

Careful about running the carbon all the time. Maybe just use it "when needed" especially if you add more fish.

I think that you could do one of the two. Perhaps not both because, all of the fish you have now and the 2 your thinking about are recommended for a min of 30gs. So as they get older and less tolerant of one another you may have problems. Maybe a Clownfish would be a better choice?

I like cleaner shrimp over the fire shrimp. Cleaner shrimp will interact with you. If you put your hand in the tank, they jump on and try to clean your hand. I have two of them and they are a blast. Plus they constantly make baby shrimp which = free fish food.

The Hermits are a good idea, a few snails are a good idea too. I don't know anything about urchins or stars.

If I were you, I would go to the "NANO" forum http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f97/ do some research there and also look at some of the nano build off's http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f231/ You'll get a ton of ideas there. Good Luck

A coral Beauty even if they are small now, really needs a larger tank - a 20 gallon is just too small - they need more room to swim.

Your bi color blenny is an excellent nano fish with great personality!
A royal Gamma is a fish that tends to hang out in one space so it is also a great nano candiate.

Here is a great link to some good choices for a nano tank.

Inverts shouldn't add too much of a bio load - all your hermits are fine- I don't know anything about the strawberry crab, they are pretty to look at, but you will want to make sure none of the hermits are going to eat each other for shells ect... that can be done by googleing and reading about them.

Sea stars are beautiful creatures, but are better added to a tank that is well established ( read a year old) and has ROCK solid salinity. Also make sure you know the stars diet before adding them is important.

Urchins - well most are known to be bulldozers that knock stuff over A LOT. I am a fan of the tuxedo urchin for it's more delicate approach. I think it is a great member of the clean up crew taking care of the rock work and "keeping it clean".

Hope that helps you some.

I would say avoid the 6-line wrasse they have a tendency to become aggressor in small tanks, there are many very small gobies that do well in small tanks, you might be able to add a couple of them. I would also recommend weekly water changes if you do add more bioload to the tank, without an efficient skimmer you will need to reduce nutrient load more often to maintain decent water parameters. Small tanks are not as forgiving so research, add slowly and stay on top of the water quality. Good luck.

I should have probably added "if you dont change your water often" carbon may be a problem. Carbon will strip the water of good and bad things. Water changes will replenish what the carbon removes.
