I can't believe that another giant worm is wreaking havoc in my reef

My tank's soft coral population has been taking a beating the last couple of months. My ricordia patch, mushrooms, and toadstools have all been rapidly dwindling. So..... a couple of nights ago..... I decided to do some midnight recon.......and I discovered that I..... once again..... had a large, predatory Eunicid worm. After a few nights of observation, I noticed that his lair was in a large (about 40lb) piece of live rock. I had to completely take apart about 25% of the reef to extricate that foundation boulder and remove it from the tank......upon which, I had to break apart the rock to expose his chamber of secrets. My last one measured 7ft....this one came in just under 5ft.
Now, the long task of putting everything back together and let the long healing process begin....

I'm sure this thing hitchhiked in on a piece of Fiji liverock as a tiny worm....and just grew and grew until his feasting was obvious. So, everyone out there who has Fiji live rock, should keep an eye out.

Steve, i am not one to believe in koinquedinks, is this the same LR that was in your 300g? how do they reproduce? if this is not the same LR, are you getting "special" LR from somebody? let me know so i do not order from them.

Well, OK then.

it is not as though Steve does not go up exponentially with each tank anyway.
