I bought a new house today! How im i going to move the tank?
We offer there asking price so Im sure they will except it.
this will be the first house me and my new wife bought together. We will be renting our current place out for extra money$$$$. Im so excited.
How am i going to move my tank? For those who dont know my system it is a 144g half round filled with soft coral. Im scared that Im not going to get my rocks stacked the right way and going to crush alot of coral. My rock is covered with hundreds of little frags that can be lost.

just take your time....make sure you have several 30 gallon tubs...remove the coral in one, rocks in the other and try to move all the water.....it shouldn't be to bad!!

Hi First of CONGRATS on the new house!!!
I'm also moving in Sep so I know the fear you have. We moved to this apt 1.5 yrs ago and I did it myself with a a cpl of friends. It was a disaster for me (but keep in mind I have a hard time turning the tv channels). I lost most of my fish and my tank started leaking shortly after. This time I contacted several tank maintenance guys to give me prices on moving the tank and after talking with them I decided to let one of them move the tank for me. Its costing me 800 bucks to move it less than a mile(also keep in mind this is nyc) I would weigh out my options. If your confident and have a few friends go for it if your like me and fear what could happen contact aquarium maintenance people or your lfs for prices.
wow your a lucky man new house beautiful wife and a gorgeous tank.

Take many pictures of your setup so that you can recreate if necessary. Like everyone else said, plenty of rubbermaid tubs.
When I moved I planned a tank move night after we had moved furniture. You are blessed that you are keeping your other place to rent out. This should give you plenty of time. I had to move on a Sunday, Paint on Monday, Carpet came on Tuesday and tank move was Wednesday night, so I could clean out Thursday for Friday settlement.
