Hydor Koralia Pumps

Has anyone bought or tried these?

Link

I need something down at the bottom of my BB tank behind my rocks to keep detritus from collecting. Think these will last very long?

One of the LFS owners showed me a couple of them that he has in his display tank, they look good. He has only had them going for about 3 months. They are expansive though. They had a real cool controler to go with them as well.

They are acutally pretty reasonable. Check the first link to Dr.Foster&Smith. Maybe you have them confused with the Vortech pumps that are $344.00 each. I don't think these have a controller.

Sorry, never saw the link, that is cheap compared to what he was showing me, they are not same I would say. He wanted like $150.00 for the ones he was selling. They were the same in that they had the motor on the outside of the glass.

I believe these have the motor on the inside of the tank. The only thing that is on the outside is the magnet mount from what I can tell. You will still have a power cord going into your tank with these.

Looks like Tunze's got quite a bit of competition lately.

For that price and flow, they look like a good deal.

for $50, it may be worth a try

if they are anything like other Hydor components, they are only good for about 1 year
