Hydnophora

I've got a small Hydnophora in my tank that seems to be growing pretty well. I know it's an 'agressive' coral so I was just wondering what people's opinions of it were. Is it a good coral to have or not?

I love mine, very cool looking, but just like my Torch I make sure to keep other corals out of stiniging distance.

My understanding is it's actually an LPS that looks like an SPS. I could be wrong but that's what my LFS told me. Hydnophora doesn't have small stony polyps, but it branches out like an SPS. I won't say anymore because I could be totally way off. They are green and very pretty. They have a potent sting, no they don't move.

I have a hydro that is about 13" tall and 10" around. It has undeniably killed more frags than any other coral i have ever had......

They are cool...just dont let anything fall into him for even a short amount of time

Ive always thought it was an sps as i was told that somewhere along the line.......wouldnt mind some clarification there myself

It is indeed a LPS that looks like a SPS. I also have had things get killed by it. I had one of my hydnophora fall and kill a nice frag. I have two types of Hydnophora. One is neon green with brownish polyps. That second is totally neon green.

This next one is a small frag I had. I still have a very large colony but this picture shows the colors better.
