Question

hungry naso

ive had my naso for a month...shes survived on brown sargassum macros since then...she hasnt touched the selcon soaked "ocean nutrition prime reef" or frozen mysis i feed the other fish...

ive tryed to give her the red sea veggies for a couple weeks to no avail...

any other ideas?...i guess i could try the other 'colors'...

i havent tryed romaine lettuce (i hear you should boil it first so the fish can digest it better?)...

where can i get nori?...at a grocery store?...

any ideas would be great

thanks

brad

Brad,
We make hand made food that is awesome. We use nori in it I get it at the Asian store here in town. You might want to see if you have a local Specialty store like this.

Here

Brad, try putting some flavor into the sea weed. I know they are thought of as vegetarians, but the like their meat too.

Brad , ditto on Jerel(Spanky) and others for help. the Romaine on a clip is good to let it graze during the day(i tend to agree on the nutritional value of it vs nori etc. , but NEVER had luck my self with nori / seaweed sheets) had tangs live/thrive/GROW on my way of doing things for over 6 yrs. +. offer whatever variety you can , give time to learn to graze/eat it. there is no textbook way of doing this,(right -wrong way) my oldest fish(s) are over 16 yrs.+, if i told you the foods they had/have eaten on here, it would start a wave of comments,,,good and bad. i quess bottom line , get it to eat whatever you can "teach" it to munch on , then offer other , better foods for it. remember, tangs eat often, keep trying!
