Howdy! New member from GA :)

I just discovered this site (thanks pamsreef!) after spending the past 8 months learning everything I know (which ain't much ) on Reef Central.

My husband and I got our first tank up and running this past February (see our website). We look forward to getting to know you all! ...er, Y'ALL!

Blessings,
Cathy

Glad to see you, Cathy! Welcome to the TRT family. BTW...are you a Mac user, or do you just like that artwork for your avatar?

(I'm a known Mac user myself and there are others here too )

Hi Cathy,

Hello and Welcome the TRT !

Glad to have you as a new member ... although I must say .... looking at your website and the shape your 135G is in at this point I would hardly calll you a newbie!

I LOVE the cherry wood cabimet and canopy. Terrific choice!!

The website Doug has built is tremendous, and very interesting to visit.

I also enjoy your sense to humor .... naming the two blood shrimp Scampi and Gumbo.

My little 40g starter would easily fit inside your sump area ... but then .... my son and I DO have plans for the "BIG TANK" once we get the starter tank matured.

We started in Feb 04 also, and have enjoyed the progress from reading, reading more, getting the empty tank, the trials and tribulations of LS and LR cycling, and the introduction of the blue leg hermits, and few turbo snails and now 2 Amphiprion ocellaris.

Thanks for introducing yourself and again, your tanks is Terrific.

This board is my reefing home on the 'net.

Great folks here, very friendly and we've got some smart cookies here to answer the tough questions.

Welcome

Wow, thanks for all the nice comments! If you like to read, you can get a lot of detailed info on our system from our progress thread on RC: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...hreadid=273216

We were kinda thrown in the deep end of the pool (so to speak) with our first fish. A pair of WC True Percula Clowns that brought Brooklynella with them. But because of the awesome technology of the web and the great folks at RC, we got the help we needed.

MACS rule!! Does that answer your question??!! LOL! Yes, I'm a Graphic Designer and I have used an Apple since the first Commodor Amigas came off the line in '86. My husband loves Dell computers, so we have a nice rivalry going on. You can give him a hard time about it when he posts his first thread soon (you have my permission ).

Oh yeah, we named our clowns Mac and Dell.

Nice workmanship. Although I will admit that I didn't read all 44 pages of that thread.

Heh, I wouldn't either.... I'm way too impatient. This hobby is testing me to unimaginable limits!
