just as a comment, the reason the bulbs look so yellow is because I took this pic just as the lights were firing up. The "temporary" setup is 2x250w 10K MHs

if you raise the DC-3 propellor up a bit more it would cool the tank even more.

actually the air is blowing straight up the front of the glass and circulating around the bulbs from the deflection of the reflectors.
The sad part is... I actually put some thought into that.

All I have to say is
It looks to me like there is a spot in the middle for a 250 watt DE fixture. Now just think, 750 watts on a 30 gallon.
