How to clean the sand bed?

I was wondering is there anything that would connect to a powerhead that had a sock or something to pull all the junk out of the sand and let the water go back into the tank. I don't need or want to take out more than about 15 gallons of water, and a powerhead would pull more than that pretty quickly before I could get all the junk off of the sand all over the tank. The siphon (and I've tried more than one) sucks then lets most of the stuff fall back into the sand. Makes me crazy, I want clean sand and a neat tank.

I use a gravel vac to clean my sand. Weekly when i do my WC is when i clean the sand. During cleaning the sand i take out about 15 gallons of water.

Take a look at the Python System. It works great!

Use a Gravel Vac. It will take out some water... but i don't believe that there is anything like a vacuum that will connect to a powerhead.

Just add some soap and start scrubbing.
