How much Kalk do i mix in gallon??

I have been dosing a gallon of kalk about once a week. I mixed 1 teaspoon in a gallon of water. Is this not enough. i was reading that people mix much more per gallon. Also i wanted to know if i should drip more then a gallon per week

I heard alot of different opinions on how much to add, what I did was start with what you did per gallon and then test for a couple of days to see the effects and if need go up from there. The good thing is you really cannot add to much, it will only dissolve a certain amount and then it just stops dissolving.
