I really don't mind how much Ive spent what I do hate is how much I misspent on things I really didn't need.

like mondays aren't bad enough ... now you ruined the whole week by thinking of how much i have spent..... i'd say close to 10K EVERYTHING included ...

plumbing ... lumber ... bulkheads ... skimmer(s) ... pumps ... misc stuff ... crap the LFS told you one needs.... but don't.

I agree ! Half the money spent was on things that dont work..

On my last tank I spent a ton on junk form the LFS's

But since TRT showed me the way and I became a smarter consumer via internet I dont waste as much money !!!!

The pay off is when a friend or family stops by and all they can say is WOW I've never seen a tank as awesome as yours !!!! That makes it all worth while

i got prolly around 3k, maybe into it. but the tally keeps rising weekly lol. whats the point of working all day if u dont spend money on things u want??? atleast with the tanks i have something to show for it, i could think of alot worse things that could be draining my wallet.

Talk about how much. I'm as new as a newbe could be, and i have already spent over 500 on my 20 long salt tank. Had a 125 gal gotten used but sprung a leak. I do now have a 125 terrarium though. my 20 long is only about two months old. moving from fresh water and trying to venture into the salt world. My goal is to get 200 gal or more. when the money is right. please send any info my way, just found this forum about a day or so ago, and very interseted on the topics that everone talks about.
