How many sand critters do i need for my 28gal tank?

Hi!
Getting the new tank going! 28 gal nano cube....i put ~1.5 inches of sand in today...i'd like to know roughly how many sand guys should sufficiently do the sand sifting job....
I know I'd like a goby/pistol shrimp pair....and after that I'm open to suggestions

anybody opinions? or things that are working for someone out there with a similar setup?

and, yes, i know... i'll have to replace the sand bed in a couple of years when the funk builds up....

Try http://reefcleaners.org/index.php?op...d=20&Itemid=33 They have a good calculator as well as great deals.
I'm planning on ordering from them in the next week.

Just my $.02, I wouldn't add any sand sifters (gobies, shrimp, ssstars) until you have critters IN the sand for them to eat. Otherwise, they might starve. It takes at least six to eight weeks for the sand to become "live" with pods.

Thanks for the tips! and the link!....great advice about the sand....I'm waiting patiently

I borrowed some seeding sand from a friend with a 240gal tank and put it with some dry caribsea aragonite....much better deal than buying "live" sand at petco.
